In this post on Jobs for Felons, we tried to research mercenary companies that are hiring workers now.    Much like finding car seat wedge cushions online, we found that searching for this unique job opportunity is difficult.  While there are tons and tons of these jobs, finding those that will hire felons has been quite hard but we know they are out there.   I am going to continue to work on this and will post the listing as soon as I have it.    Be sure to sign up for the RSS feed so you can be kept in the loop once I find these unique job opportunties.

  2. I was convicted in 1982 of armed robbery in GA. I didnt hide behind an attorney and try to get out of it. I did 5 years and 1 month. Got my college degree while incarcerated. Business Administration. After parole I soon learned the hard way finding a decent paying job with a felony conviction was very difficult. I had to work in construction for many years. the pay was not very good. I did learn quite a bit and actually had my own company until about 4 years ago. I built spec homes. Until the economy took its toll. I went to school with Dish Network and for the past two years installed sat systems. I lost that job in October. Since then I have tried to sign on as a sub-contractor with approved contractors as a sat tech. i spent all I had on tools, ladders, meters and a full size van. but I have been turned down on every turn because of a conviction following me for the past 28 years. it doesnt seem to matter at all that my record since then has been clear. I think its sad that you cant be granted a second chance by anyone after so much time has past. All I want is a chance to make a decent living and take care of my 13 year old son.

  8. Hi
I was convicted in 1992 of a Marijuana offense . I have never been in trouble before or after. I have worked in construction most of my life in the form of Sales, running crews, and managing day to day operations. I and am basically a field Engineer. I have built from the ground up. I can orient a building to the lot, shoot grade and lay out buildings for starting construction, estimate jobs, take off plans and plans and schedule crews for construction operations. I am very mechanical inclined and can fix most any thing. I have 3 years of collage with out a degree. I did not finish for financial reasons.
I have good math skills, good people skills and very dependable. I have no drug or alcohol habits. I was a licensed in Michigan but I do not live there any longer. I have ran my own construction Company and manage people well. I also have had jobs in Sales, construction, Real Estate (licensed) and A/C sales.
My conviction has hampered me in many ways but my determination and perseverance along with my personal traits have gotten me this far. This economy is an other animal.
I hope some one sees this and sees value in my skills and would like to hire me.
Like so many others I just want a chance to work and take care of my family and put the conviction behind me for good.

  18. I’m a convicted felon and like most other felons I’m trying the limited resources provided. I’m looking for that second chance to be a upstanding, productive, law abiding citizen that can support my love ones. I’m looking to be a long term, hard working, dependable, and easy to manage employee for that company believing in second chances. If there are any companies taking a glance at this comment and you are short of hard workers, please contact me ASAP. Also, if anyone out there has information that truely focus on companies hiring felons, please forward your helpful information to me: chanciewilliams3@yahoo.com

  22. I am a convicted felon. Not for a huge felony, but in the state of Texas, stealing a credit card is a felony. I am currently in the Army Reserves, and love my riflemen ship, but I am looking for more. I have always been into mercenary work, and have tried several times to get on with KBR as security down range. However, they won’t look past my background. I have been to several countries, and learn fast and anything that I am taught. I am well disciplined, and an willing to do any form of work that I am put into. I was pushing for my degree, but have yet to complete it as my financial situation is going down quickly. This is the most that I talk, and would rather work then explain with words, so if any one out there reads this that needs a highly intelligent workaholic that can handle all forms of weapons, vehicles, machinery and anything else with minimal training, please let me know. army_shooter@hotmail.com; james.hemsworth@hotmail.com

  40. I was just convicted in July 2011 for selling my prescription of sleeping pills. I took the plea agreement even though I was not the one selling the pills. My ex-husband was the one that was selling my pills. He sold to a state snitch and the man wore a wire on him. I have 3 yrs probabtion and 2 felonies. I’m going to an online school to better myself and to take care of my children. I’ve been looking for a job and no one wants to hire me after they hear I have felonies. I’ve been doing volunteer work, as of right now I’m working with the maintance dept. of the mayor’s office. Which means we clean the courthouse, ems office, library, veterans office, and the visitor center. I also volunteer with workforce ess. office. I answer phones, make copies, send and recieve faxes, file papers, clean the office, and anything else they need me to do. Please contact me if you can help me find a job. Thank you!
