Employment for Felons with Certification in 2010

If you have been convicted of a felony, it is important to know what types of certifications you can get that will lead to jobs for felons. In many cases, if you can acquire a certification of some type of trade, you will have greater opportunities for employment and many companies that hire felons will give you preference with training and education. To find out what your options are for certification, you should do a Google search for your state’s department of licensing. Once on that site, you can then browse the list of licenses for the state and look at the requirements for applying for licensure. Usually, the license application will tell you what education is required to get the license, and if you can get the license with a felony conviction.

Even if the license is not permitted for those with a felony, often there is a timeframe so you can get a license at some point. Since employers that hire felons are scarce, try looking into a profession where you can get a license in a trade and then start your own business. Employment for felons is possible if you search and learn what steps you can take to set yourself apart from other people looking for work.

I have a felon and I understand how hard it is for me to find a job, but everyone has it hard on the economy. I am here on prospect to be a better man. Is there anyone I can talk to you about finding a job.

I am also a felon that made a big mistake in my life.I have one more year on parole,I have served my time for the crime I commited 7 years ago.I have a clean class BP license,with tow truck endorsements,and I am having a hard time finding a job in n.y.c,Dont do drugs or drink.MY wife is very sick,and I need to find a way to put food on the table.Please,all I need is a chance to get back to the work force.Thank you,for hearing me out!God Bless everyone.

I just got a felony on my record and i recently graduated from college with a cna certificate and i know the felony might effect my work status. i wanna know what type of jobs will be available to me.I got messed up hanging with the crowd,but now its over and im on probation and i need a job.If anyone can help please let me know.
