Being a felon has labeled me unemployable in Ohio. I have been turned down for the easiest jobs which I know am qualified for. It has been 6 yrs since I committed my felony (drugs) and have seen convicted murderers and child molesters get employment over me. Since when does a so-called great nation for all shut the door on those who have changed their lives? I have to college and have a degree and still nothing. Makes me want to consider crime just to eat and then get caught and end up in prison, A vicious cycle I think is part of the plan for our great nation.

I apply for jobs every month! 30 or more applications and still no job because I have felonies and no work history or experience. I am in debt with child support and cant make my payments. They took my license and will give them back as soon as I get a job. I live where I can I was living in a tent but now stay with an elderly lady who took me in. I need a job so bad I am willing to do the worst jobs possible, please can any one help me?

i just got out of prison 3 days ago and im very confused and unsure of where to start i need a job as i am on 3 years probation any help would be greatly appreciated

being a felon is the worst thing that could’ve happened to me. before my felony conviction i always worked. i have lots of experience in my field…more than 10 years. but because of the felony, i cant get a job. ive been looking for work since aug. 2010, and have not had any luck. i even applied with goodwill. can anyone give some leads? very frustrated and irritated, but cant do anything about it but keep applying to jobs. need help!

The So. Cal locals here, should “hop on down” to our Long Beach thrift stores. Most of the employees are ex-cons, or drug addiction offenders. My sister and I are there all the time, to shop and chat. We support the rehabilitation of all South Bay residents.

I definitly need some help getting back on my feet again. Before I went to prison I was a dead beat dad. Now that I have learned how to be a better person and take care of my responsibilities, I still need help in with a good paying job because my child support is my most important goal at this time. Is there any body that can help me?

today i am labeled a convict as society will and always call me.as for myself, i call my self a rehabilitated human being, who has been punished,and suffered sever cosequences for my harsh actions i have comitted…do to my pass, i struggle to keep my life together ,and my head above water. being a convict is the most hardest reality in my life…my convictions are in the pass but they haunt me daily…i know where i went wong in life ,and i have paid for it with a part of my life .and i know that for every action taken there are consequences we have to face.we all have a past… as i grow older i realize my place in life.being a convict is easy …its the most easiest thing to become..but being a normal human being in society,an labeled as a convict its a task that i must over come…….
