Employment for Felons with BP Oil Disaster Clean Up

Jobs for felons have been created from one of the worst environmental disasters of our time. As we have all heard by now, BP has made quite a mess of the Gulf Coast region of the United States. While most oil complications are in the Louisiana area, there are massive amounts of oil and debris that need to be cleaned up in surrounding states and beaches. If you are looking for employment for felons, and if you are willing to travel to the Gulf Coast region, then you may want to consider contacting local fisherman in the Gulf Coast region. In addition, you can also contact insurance adjusters and insurance offices in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and in Florida. In many of these offices, the employees know of people, or companies, that are will to hire felons to work in the BP oil disaster clean up efforts. Also, be sure to contact union organizations involved in environmental clean up as many of these unions also have member companies that they can refer you to. While this isn’t a long term job, it is a job that will keep you employed for many months and will help you get back on your feet after being convicted of a felony. GHNXDBC8439206

  6. Last year due to health problems I lost my job after being w/ the company for nearly 10yrs.

Nearly 15 yrs ago I made some bad choices and was convicted of 2 class C felonies, although I am not that person any longer and have a proven track record for excellent work habits I am still unable to find gainful employment for the continued support of my family. Retail managment, client services, office support and some food service are my background, but I am willing and able to learn most anything. If any info/solutions or answers are out, please contact me, it would be sincerely appreciated.

  8. I have got to voice my opinions. More and more I have seen people get kicked around by companies, courts ect for convictions. You cant get hired and in some states cant even get public aide with certain convictions. How are you supossed to make a living , keep a roof over your head, EAT, or get medical care when the laws work against you.Once you have a felony conviction, its so very hard to get back on your feet even in the most basic of ways. Then you wonder why people make such ugly remarks about **lazy good for nothings** as they put it. Its not that easy people. I have seen my son and 1 nephew struggle for years to get on their feet after bad decisions as youth. We need the federal government to step in and provide guidance and incentives to companies willing to employ felons as part of rehabilitating them back into society. They cant pay child support if they cant find work. They cant pay taxes if they dont clock in and make a paycheck. We need to help more and hinder less.

  12. I’d like to piggy back on subjects I’ve read and I’m a convicted felon so I know first hand the pain of everyone who shared their stories. And the funny part about all of this, is once you leave to return to freedom they have u go to all these re-entry programs building up ur hopes wit a lot of useless facts then to add insult to injury they tell you you’ve paid your debt to society. Have you! Society stills holds you accountable for your actions. I’m certified in masonry hazmat training I’ve been in the environmental field over 8 years I just had a new born I don’t want my daughter growing up on public assistance she deserves the same oportunity as anyone else that’s not on public assistance. If anyone can point me in the environmental direction I’d be more than greatful thanks.
