Jobs for felons can be challenging to find if you are not interested in traveling outside of your town, state, or even if you limited your options to the state you live in.  If you are interested in pursing a new career, you may want to consider volunteer work abroad and looking into mercenary jobs overseas that are offered to felons in offshore drilling or in construction work.  In addition, there are also many jobs in retail or even in social services.  If you are pursing a career in an area that you do not have prior experience, then volunteering for work will be the best way to get your foot in the door and to find new felony jobs abroad.  The key to your best opportunity will come by first looking for work that you find interesting and then offering to do the work as an intern.   In many cases, this is how felons find jobs in mercenary employment and begin new lucrative careers abroad.

I am a convicted felon,my felony is possesion of a firearm, i am currently looking for a job in emergency response or on a oil rig i have my rso and twiccard and my hazwoper certification ,i recently applied for a hydroblasting position with a staffing agency called aerotek in los angeles and i got a call back from them everything went smooth until she asked me if i was a convicted felon and i said yes needless to say that was the end of that phone interview and on top of that my sister wants me to move out by christmas and i am not a person that goes around feeling sorry for myself i just need a chance to get back into society and prove that i am more than just a second class citizen. If u have any advice for me i would surely be greatful !
