Jobs for felons can be found through a variety of resources but often convicted felons find the best employment when they create job opportunities by helping other felons.   If you are looking for a job, and if you are interested in starting your own business, then you may want to consider starting an apartment locater service that is designed to exclusively help felons find places to live – a great assistance for felons in need of housing.  While it is commonly believe that apartment management companies will not rent to felons, the fact is that many will rent but often require some additional deposit payment or even a cosigner.   By finding these complexes, and then building a website that provides contact information, you can create a business that will you a commission for each new tenant that signs a rental agreement.   Typically, apartment locaters are paid a commission that is equal to one month’s rent – a very lucrative type of self employment.  While convicted felons jobs can be found with many real estate marketing companies, being self employed will give you the best employment, career, and job options.   When starting out, it may be wise to contact some of the low income based apartments first as they are most likely to be within a conservative monthly rental amount that most felons, and their families, can afford.
