Jobs for Felons Includes Blogging about Video Games

Here is a cool idea that can help you make money.    If you love video games, and you can provide hints, cheats or even video game reviews, there are companies that will pay you to write review for them.   But, in addition, you can also create a website that is designed to offer video game hints, cheats, and reviews about your favorite line of video gaming systems  or genre of video games.   You can set up a free blog and then monetize that blog by running ads on it and then driving traffic.    I actually started one of these this week and we are already making a couple dollars a day.

You can also get a 10-day free trial with the video game rental company, GameFly. Use Coupon Code TENDAY to start your 10-day free trial today to GameFly!

Be sure to have a credit or debit card handy because, I think, you will need to enter that to get your 10-day free trial and remember, it is a free trial, so you can cancel before the 10 days if you don’t like their service. But, this is a great way to get a few free video games for sample and then you can write review for various sites or even write reviews on your blog. Another great tip from Job for Felons!

Jobs for Felons Ebook – Lesson Two

Hey Everyone -

My apologies for the delay in putting up this post. I’ve been ill for the past five days but plan to rock and roll from this point forward. I thank you for patience.

In our first lesson on Jobs for Felons, we talked about creating a website based around at targeted niche market and I gave you a referral website for researching keywords. The next step we want to take will progress us into determining what our domain name or URL should be. So, in Lesson Two, what we want to do is take our prior list of keywords and now determine which of these has the least amount of website competition. To do this, we are going to use the Google search box found at www.google.com. What you want to do is place each of your keywords into that box, one by one, and make note of the number of results pages that are listed in the upper right corner of the Google results. Put these on a spreadsheet with your keywords in column one, your search volume (as determined from Lesson One) in the second column, and then this raw competition # (found on Google.com) in the third column. Using my prior four keyword phrases, here is what the results show in Google:

capuchin monkeys for sale – 97,200
squirrel monkeys for sale – 94,100
baby pet monkeys for sale – 203,000
monkeys for sale – 7,540,000

From this data, I can already see that the two keyword phrases I want to narrow my focus to will be the first two – “capuchin monkeys for sale” and “squirrel monkeys for sale”. I am choosing these two phrases because they have the lowest competition on the web and, therefore, would be the easiest for me to get to page one of Google. In looking back at my search volume for these same phrases, I noted the following:

capuchin monkeys for sale – 2772
squirrel monkeys for sale – 1522
baby pet monkeys for sale – 1499
monkeys for sale – 1420

Since “capuchin monkeys for sale” has one of the lowest competition levels and has the higher search volume, this will be the keyword phrase that I will want to try and use as my domain name. In our next lesson, we will learn how to set up domain and hosting. So, get started and come up with your primary keyword phrase for your website! Then, come back tomorrow for Lesson Three.

Have a great day!
